In developing 3D orthogonal intersections, I thought of using aluminium sections obtained by a high-tech industrial extrusion process.
But using these sections I avoid having to cut vertically since the extrusion process gives a precise shape along the entire length. The only problem is procuring the type of material I need.
They are not normally on sale as they are commissioned for a definite purpose and patented as well. This problem appeared to be unsolvable.
The feasible way, I thought, was to involve the operators in this high-tech area creatively and artistically.
I have had very interesting talks with TECNOCARPENT who build aluminium smelting furnaces, and COMPES who makes dies for the extrusion of  aluminium.
Some of the pictures here are of  works I have created representing the COMPES trademark.
